Spotify is debuting a beta version of songwriter pages

Spotify starts a new way to share the songs that you have written

The music industry has been in a tough time in the past. Though recovery has however started and all players are anxiously participating in the same. In this regard, Spotify has made its own effort. They have launched a beta version of the songwriter pages so that the listeners can also get to know who is behind the success of their favourite artist.

Their step is an attempt to increase the cordiality they have with the songwriting community and boost music promotion also. The upgrade to their service would definitely help make it easy for songwriters to get the due that they rightfully deserve. It was in 2018 that the platform began displaying song credits. This led to the labels and distributors to start crediting the songwriters too. In the future releases, this was one section which was given due importance.

This method started with the launch of a beta version of the Spotify songwriter pages. The idea was just in nascent phases and it was to see how things would work in the end. According to Spotify, this effort was made just to help the fans, collaborators and different industry partners to find out more about the creators of songs. It is worthwhile to know who is the person behind creating such unique and beautiful music.

Not only that in the beta version when songwriters’ names are mentioned the listeners also benefit. They can click the names of these people and reach a page which compiles all the songs written by them till now. More on the page are the collaborations they have had with different artists till now. This means that all the achievements of the songwriters have been encapsulated in one section.

Songwriters not only get the exposure they deserve but can share their information further on their social media platform or website. The page given to them would also have a link to a playlist of songs written by them so far. You may also look for the same through Spotify’s search bar. There is a form given that the songwriters can fill and provide their information to the platform.

Songwriters are also indebted by this step and are hoping that this would give a platform for them to showcase their talent. Even though the step is just beginning the end result would be fruitful for both the parties and hoping to get those behind the scenes to come forward and take the centre stage. Hopefully, now artists and songwriters would both be appreciated and achieve the success they rightfully deserve.
