Spotify has recently announced the expansion of its streaming services into 13 new countries connecting with 250 million new users.
Spotify is releasing its streaming service in new European countries including Russia indicating a huge expansion that would help music streamer reach about 250 million new listeners.
Apart from Russia, the 16th biggest streaming domain, Spotify would launch its services into Belarus, Albania, Herzegovina, Bosnia and, Croatia, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Moldova, Ukraine, Montenegro, North Serbia, Macedonia, and Slovenia.
The digital streamer is expanding into new markets including India, Africa, and the Middle East in 2018 and 2019.
Including the European countries where Spotify has launched the services recently, it will operate in a total of 92 markets worldwide. This marks Spotify’s dominance worldwide.
The music industry in Russia is the 17th largest of all and is the fastest growing across the world in 2019.
Russia will soon be the 10th largest music streaming market by the year 2030. This is good news for 87% of listeners from Russia who will have access to music via streaming.
Nearly 61% of listeners across the world are relying on streaming which includes 68% of U.S. music listeners says Spotify.
Spotify will introduce nearly 200 fresh playlists highlighting artists from over 13-country region to the fans worldwide.
When it comes to Russia, Spotify is including nearly 100 playlists, that feature curated lists for example New Music Friday Russia, Hip-Hop Cannon, and “This Is” playlists highlighting Russian pop stars.
On the other hand, personalized Spotify playlists for example Discover Weekly, Release Radar and Daily Mix based on the listening patterns of the individual fans would also be available now in Russian.
