This agreement gives Facebook’s users the ability to use music as part of their interaction with the platform, whilst creating a collaborative environment for Beatrising Distribution and its members to work together with Facebook to develop its future music offerings.
PLEASE NOTE:
Facebook is not launching an on-demand music service comparable with e.g. YouTube, Spotify, Apple or Amazon Music. This agreement covers only personal, non-commercial use of recordings.
Whitelisting will prevent any videos uploaded to these pages, containing licensed content, from being claimed by the rights holder (i.e. this will prevent artist/label uploads from being blocked). Uploaded content will be subject to Facebook’s standard terms and conditions (including as regards publishing responsibilities).
Beatrising will co-ordinate the initial provision of this information to Facebook. Labels need to provide us details of all artist and label Facebook / Instagram accounts that they wish to whitelist by email.
