Vinyl records will surpass $1bn

This year, for the first time since the 1980s, annual sales of vinyl records will shoot beyond $1bn (£820m), as revealed in a report published a week ago. Everyone thought the 12-inch record was on its way out for good up until just a decade ago. Not so these days, with Deloitte predicting that annual physical music sales of vinyl will make up 15-18% of the market.
